The Fifth Squad reports the details of a robbery that occurred in Garden City South on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at 12:25 am.
According to detectives, the twenty one year old female victim was walking on Wellington Road South when a male black suspect who was armed with a handgun and demanded money grabbed her from behind. After the victim gave the suspect an unknown amount of U.S. Currency and her cellular phone, he pushed her and fled on foot northbound on Wellington Road South in the company of another male, description unknown. The victim sustained no injuries.
Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
