The Fifth Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred on August 31, 2010 at 11:25 PM, in Franklin Square.
At that time, according to detectives, the 15-year-old victim and a 14-year-old friend were walking on Hoffman Street, at Cloud Avenue, when a gold, older model Toyota Sienna pulled up beside them, from which two unknown male subjects exited. Subject #1 kicked the victim in the leg and Subject #2 grabbed the victim’s Blackberry Curve phone from the victim’s friend, who was holding it for him. Subject #2 then struck the victim in the hip with an unknown wooden object, before both subjects fled in the Toyota, proceeding south on Hoffman Street.
Subject #1 is described as a black male, age unknown, 5’9”-5’10”, wearing a face mask, hair in corn rows, black t-shirt; Subject #2, a male Asian, age unknown, 5’9”-5’10”, was wearing a black bandanna over his face. Cell Phone Robber Arrest

Fifth Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for a Robbery that occurred on February 4, 2010 at 2:50 P.M. in Floral Park.
According to detectives, the victim was walking home from Sewanhaka High School eastbound on Tulip Ave. just past Covert Ave., texting on his cell phone, when a male ran up from behind him. The defendant, grabbed at the victims cell phone and a struggle ensued. The defendant proceeded to punch the victim knocking him to the ground. The defendant then grabbed the victims cell phone out of his hand and ran towards Argyle Rd. where he hopped over a fence.
A short time later Officers made an arrest charged him with Robbery 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on 2/5/10.

The Fifth Squad reports the details of a robbery that occurred in Garden City South on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at 12:25 am.
According to detectives, the twenty one year old female victim was walking on Wellington Road South when a male black suspect who was armed with a handgun and demanded money grabbed her from behind. After the victim gave the suspect an unknown amount of U.S. Currency and her cellular phone, he pushed her and fled on foot northbound on Wellington Road South in the company of another male, description unknown. The victim sustained no injuries.

Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 6:25 P.M. in Franklin Square.
According to detectives, the victim exited the CVS Store located at 640 Franklin Ave. and was walking to her vehicle when suspect 1, described as a male, white, teen, 5’3”, wearing a blue nylon hooded jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, approached her from the side and attempted to take her pocketbook. A struggle ensued at which time suspect 2, described as a female, white, teen, with dark hair in a ponytail, wearing a dark baggy hooded sweatshirt, came up from behind the victim and knocked her to the ground. As the victim continued to struggle with both suspects a third suspect, described as a male, white, teen, 5’7”, wearing a dark colored jacket, began kicking her. The victim lost her grip on the pocketbook and all three suspects fled on foot with the pocketbook through a creek bed that is located in the rear of CVS.
