Arrests Made for Serial Thefts from Cars

Two West Hempstead men have been arrested in connection with a rash of thefts from parked cars in the Garden City South area. From March through the beginning of April, items were stolen from 17 cars parked on the streets in Garden City South, including Whitehall Road South, Euston Road South, Oxford Road and Dorchester Road. Most of the thefts were made between 10 pm and 6 am often by breaking the car window. Police in plainclothes were working the streets and uniformed patrols intensified. The two men are arrested and charged with Larceny and Felony Criminal Mischief.
